So, odd update...
On holiday in Miami, I ended up buying a pregnancy test because I was over 2 weeks late and my belly was starting to swell in that low abdominal way that marks a pregnancy. It was negative, and the next day I got my period, but I swear there was more to it. I was so 'typical' that my mother told me once I got back that she thought I had gotten pregnant again and was just not ready to tell her.
I have Googled stories from other women about looking and feeling pregnant, but having a negative test, and you cannot believe how much is out there... women with the same issue, and some quite far along, who are eventually established to be pregnant. I believe I had a very early stage miscarriage, as my tummy did not go down with the end of my (heavy) period, as it usually does. Crazy!
I think I am at the point where we will take steps to prevent pregnancy. Part of me still wants it, but part of me is ready to move on from it. So sad.
